One of the most memorable portrayals of Vampiric life, death & tragedy. The story begins with Daniel, a young reporter (Christian Slater), who wanders the streets looking for interesting subjects to interview. One evening he stumbles upon Louis (Brad Pitt) and quickly finds out that he's unlike any subject he's interviewed before....... he is a vampire. Rather than feed on Daniel, Louis decides to allow him to chronicle his life and his transformation from human to vampire. The story follows Louis through his accidental encounter and subsequent turning provided by Lestat (Tom Cruise), a vampire who is sophisticated yet in desperate need of a companion. As the story continues it reveals Louis' struggle with becoming immortal and letting go of his humanity. Kirsten Dunst, Stephen Rea & Antonio Banderas round out the cast of vampires who aid Louis in his unraveling the secrets and the meaning of this cursed life.
