This is the original Japanese horror film that inspired the American version called "The Ring". After the death of her niece Tomoko, Reiko Asakawa begins an investigation into the video tape which causes mysterious death anyone who watches it. Her search takes her to the remote cabin where her niece and friends viewed the cursed tape before winding up dead. Along the journey she receives help from her ex-husband, who she makes a copy of the tape to show him. Once he watches the tape they begin to understand the evil that they are up against. This film is subtitled in English and is much more entertaining than the remake. Don't watch this one alone!
