Army of Darkness (1992)

In this third installment of the Evil Dead films we find Ash has been sucked into a time warp and transported to 1300 A.D. Upon arriving to the medieval times he finds that he must battle an army of undead to retrieve the Necronomicon, an ancient book that can rid the world of evil and send Ash back to the 2oth century. While Ash attempts to recite the spellbound words from the book he accidentally mispronounces the incantation and releases the undead to terrorize himself and the towns people. He must then battle the undead and the demon which takes over his new girlfriend to set things right. The Evil Dead movies are Sam Raimi's idea of horror-comedy. Funny one liners, ridiculous fight scenes (like Ash battling some 3 Stooges type maneuvers in the graveyard), hilarious blood, guts & gore going way too far. This one is simply creative and meant to be a cult classic. Be warned..... this is not one to take seriously..... it's meant to be over the top & silly.
