Malcom Crowe is a gifted child psychologist who has devoted himself to helping children in crisis. After one of his patients commits suicide he begins to lose heart.... until one day he meets a new boy, Cole, who desperately needs help. In an attempt to save this new boy from the same fate he begins to treat him on a daily basis.
