Who could ever forget this one? Written by Stephen King and directed by Brian De Palma.... Carrie (Sissy Spacek) is a shy high school student who by day is tortured and taunted by her fellow classmates and at home has to endure an emotionally & physically abusive mother who is radically religious. As a cruel joke, her peers convince the school hunk to ask Carrie out to the prom. They concoct a horrific plan to humiliate Carrie in front of the entire school. Unfortunately for them it backfires in the end when Carrie brings down her wrath upon them and they soon realize she has some very "special" powers. You'll never think of Prom Night the same after this one.
